A shameful period in our Military special forces, but also it shouldn't mean tarring all personel with the same dirty brush, plus of course, action is and will be taken.
Macho culture? No more then any other country's special forces culture I suggest, and again, a small number of 25, who should be treated as harshly as possible.
Irrespective a sad day of shame for Australia.
I would hope other countries if similar criminal acts was found, to act as appropriately.

From the article: None of the incidents took place during military confrontations, and victims’ bodies were later planted with weapons and radios in order to make it look like they were legitimate targets.

Not sure cover ups and this type of violent behavior exclusively stem from a “macho culture,” it seem to also arise when any organization is left to police itself. (The Roman Catholic Church comes to mind, too.) I think it's high time that civilians oversee government agencies (local and national), to offer less bias and complete objectivity. Not sure that will ever happen, but . . .
