Actually Ken Ham won. He is absolutely full of bull shit, yet here we are talking about creationism.

Come on, religion is one of the main topics on this forum. I started a thread to get it canned, but no good result came from it.

I'm an avid creationism-debater myself, and for me, the most interesting thing I learned from this debate was that the state of Kentucky has absolutely nobody doing nuclear medicine, either in practice or studying in college!

That is bizarre and I can only hope that fact made it through to the audience and the people of Kentucky. This is why creationism is far more important an issue that most people think. If Americans continue to perpetuate this insane fallacy they will undo themselves.

Every rational American should make this one of their primary concerns right now, if only to rescue some global reputation for their country; the rest of the world (even the majority of the Christians) believe this is the most juvenile and ridiculous thing about the US. So I believe America needs to address this, if only to avoid being the butt of jokes around the world. Were i american I would hang my head in shame because creationism outside of America has become increasingly rare and I suspect will continue to do so.

There's nothing really to debate all but a few hundred scientists around the world agree that evolution is real and is happening.

When Kentuckians can't get the right medical care in-state because of these insane views, I'd say that makes it far more important than some people realise.

You are right though in that these debates aren't really debates at all. For there to be a debate there has to be reason on both sides.
But these few hundred scientists are relentless and clearly they are already having a measurable impact on society in America. Now is not the time to sit back and relax. I don't live in America but even I fear where this could lead; as a world citizen in a US-controlled world I too could end up losing out in the long run, in any number of ways.

Most of the world today is socialistic. Even America is if you look at all of the governments programs that are being administered. So I'd say you aren't looking for an American based system but a socialistic one. Is that what you like?

I'm talking about creationism and Kentucky; I've no idea why you are asking me about socialism here??
