Does anyone know what that means? Do you trust corporations to carry the banner for the liberal cause.

No. Limited liability means no one is really ever responsible.

When government - which, according to an expert on the subject, Robert Mueller, cannot be held responsible, even in a limited way - doesn't take care of the people and the land, somebody has to step up and carry whatever needs carrying. Used to be the churches, and to some extend, they're still contributing to social welfare, but their political clout has gone all to the dark side. Charitable organizations do their share, but they have no political power.
It's not a question of whom you trust. It's a question of what's being done.
Corporations have for a very long time been influencing bad government policy through their campaign contributions and lobbies. Why should some of them not change sides and support better policies?

There have always been "woke" capitalists (say: the wealthy slaveowner who freed his slaves - and not carelessly, but funded and prepared over time, so that they could undertake lives as free citizens).
There are seldom enough of them. It's too expensive, and they fear losing their wealth.

the smart ones kept them on their land so they were protected by the slave master rule of land.
this allowed the master of the property to seek punitive damage should someone attack the slave on the owners property.

sadly enough the same morality of culture is what has fashioned the usa legal justice system
    money is king
no money = no fair trial
the scales of justice were never made balanced to begin with.
the ongoing problem is the capitalization of the legal system to make profit from it.
this forces the system to be considered its own capitalist culture.
the irony of that is peoples open statements about not trusting lawyers.
transference of lack of cultural morality to label themselves un-accountable for social culture and morality by blaming lawyers for the culture they create and propagate.
this pocket-nazi-ism is compartmentalized into functional uselessness by giving absolute power to individuals or groups them labeling them un-accountable
this is the power & corruption of the religious indoctrination of children where the church and god are given unquestioning power over others.

    for those whom are lost
police have the legal ability to murder people but they are not allowed to change or make laws and are not held civily accountable to murder charges.
this exempts them from being a useful part of the solution to a legal system that is unbalanced.

allowing police a free-pass to such un questioned power while also labeling them victims of the system which they cant change, gives the seller of such corrupt ideology a broken base to usurp ideological fascism on to.

the american capitalist culture is soo pre-occupied with power and control it is indoctrinated to avoid recognising the moral impasse of uselessness of total power and authority being used as a scape-goat to lack of social accountability.

    First statement ; no

    Second statement ; no

Do we not see that Capitalism , corporations , right now , today , Apr19/2020 , is about power . Power to destroy .

A True Capitalist Society , advances Humanity . Not destroy it .

Io9sian economists should have noticed that American economists were ignoring the depreciation of Durable Consumer Goods before Sputnik was launched. Russia could have informed the world that Capitalism was running on defective algebra. Why isn't accounting mandatory in schools.

If everyone was taught accounting & told to maximize NET WORTH then what would the effect be on capitalist profits? Our schools are designed to indoctrinate worker/consumers. Consumerism with planned obsolescence is just a form of economic servitude endorsed by nitwit economists.

    How Cars Keep You POOR!

That video does not discuss planned obsolescence being a major cause of that depreciation & maintenance. Look at the changes in airplanes from WWI to WWII. Do most of the changes in cars make any sense?

Capitalism , along with health care for all . Is the best political philosophy there is .

It gives freedom , monetarily , to anyone .

    It promotes individuality .

And in the end gives access to a better , more informed health .

Wealth is not just about power , greed and ego .

Wealth is also about the good you can do . Towards Humanity itself .

Yes. Cars are more efficient, more powerful, MUCH safer, and have a lot more amenities than they did 70 years ago. The cheapest cars are also about the same price as they were 70 years ago, comparing real costs. So they make a whole lot of sense.

Unfortunately the two are diametrically opposed. Capitalism rewards the greediest in society, and the person who uses his money for humanity rather than his own personal advancement is penalized.

Capitalism rewards not just greed , but good business ideas . Innovation , in many different fields of science .

What penalties does the philanthropist go through ?

Of course. Greed is just one thing it rewards - but it is the big one.
If two people make the same amount of money, and person A donates all his excess income to a worthy cause, and person B puts it all in a 401k - the philanthropist is going to end up penniless when he retires.

Some people believe the capitalist propaganda.

What is it about capitalist theory that precludes making accounting mandatory in the schools?

We do not teach the Capitalist philosophy in grade schools . Accounting is not so important as the philosophy behind Capitalist philosophy .

Russia , China sing there tunes on the advantages of their political system . But we in the west do not .

Capitalist philosophy gives the best chance for anybody to improve their lives .

There is no other philosophy that does this .

The current ways of some Capitalist in the now have put a black eye , on what some Capitalist are and can be .

Good people trying to do good things . For their employees and customers .

Right. What does that have to do with anything? Sole proprietorships can be just as greedy - they just tend to be smaller.
